Elopements are typically small, intimate weddings including the couple, the officiant and sometimes a small gathering of close friends and family members. There is generally no rehearsal. Elopements have the advantage that not much space is needed.  In fact, almost any lovely spot will do.   I have officiated at elopement at parks, on an overlook on Skyline drive,  on the Grounds at UVA, on a beach, beside the canal in Richmond, on an overlook at Carter’s Mountain Orchard, and at Guest Houses and Hotels, generally with a warm and friendly fireplace as a backdrop. Of course, elopements are not as expensive as weddings–a definite plus if you are on a budget.

Depending on my schedule, I can be available on short notice for an elopement wedding. I have done many and enjoy serving the needs and desires of couples who prefer this alternative.
